Use AI for draft headlines or a measurement checklist, not fabricated campaign results.

Will AI change digital marketing specialist work?
The useful question is not a made-up replacement percentage. It is which tasks can change, what must be checked and who remains accountable.
Task-level view · not a risk score
Assistance is not ownership.
AI can suggest headline variants, summarize anonymized observations, or help draft a measurement plan. Check claims, targeting, privacy, and platform settings yourself. Judge the work by an agreed outcome and actual data; generated copy and a plausible explanation are hypotheses until tested.
These are Ikigain’s examples and inferences about tasks, not a measured displacement forecast for this occupation. Employers differ in the information they allow into AI systems and in the standards a final output must meet.
A useful boundary
Draft. Verify. Decide.
Check claims, consent, targeting and tracking settings before anything goes live.
Treat a persuasive AI-generated explanation as a hypothesis until real data supports it.
Try the difference yourself
One comparison, not a verdict.
Create a fictional launch plan for a small service. State the audience, one measurable action, a budget cap and two message variants. Explain how you would avoid calling a tiny or biased test a proven win.
Try a small, fictional part with and without an AI draft. Note what saved time, what you had to correct, and what remained impossible to judge without context or permission. If a task involves safety, clients, pupils or confidential data, keep the experiment entirely fictional and follow professional rules.
