Will AI change web developer work?
The useful question is not a made-up replacement percentage. It is which tasks can change, what must be checked and who remains accountable.

BLS says improved tools and AI may soften growth by raising productivity and letting other workers do basic web tasks. Treat generated code or layouts as drafts to inspect. Can you explain each piece, test it on a narrow screen, and spot a failing link or form? The useful test is whether you like taking responsibility after the first draft, when real use exposes weaknesses.
These are Ikigain’s examples and inferences about tasks, not a measured displacement forecast for this occupation. Employers differ in the information they allow into AI systems and in the standards a final output must meet.

Check keyboard behavior, narrow layouts, performance and form failures on the actual page.
Do not paste private client data or deploy code whose behavior you have not tested.

Build one small, accessible page from a fictional brief. Show the first version, a failed usability check and the revision. Explain why the change helped rather than displaying only a polished screenshot.
Try a small, fictional part with and without an AI draft. Note what saved time, what you had to correct, and what remained impossible to judge without context or permission. If a task involves safety, clients, pupils or confidential data, keep the experiment entirely fictional and follow professional rules.
